How to Measure

How to Measure Your Wall

Don’t worry—measuring is easier than it sounds. All you need is a tape measure and a couple of minutes. Just follow these tips, and you’ll be all set. And if you’re unsure, we’re happy to help!

Standard Wall
Measure the full width and height of your wall from edge to edge.
Add 2 inches (5 cm) to both measurements to allow for slight wall unevenness and trimming. Better safe than sorry!

Sloped or Angled Wall
Ignore the slope—just measure the widest and tallest points of the wall.
We’ll print your wallpaper as a full rectangle so you can trim to fit.
Add 2 inches (5 cm) to both height and width as a safety margin.
For example: sloped attic walls or stairway edges.

Wall with Doors, Windows, or Other Obstacles
Measure the entire width and height of the wall—even the areas with doors or windows.
Obstacles can be trimmed around during install.
Add 2 inches (5 cm) to both dimensions to be safe.
Example: walls with closet doors, outlets, or windows.

Multiple Walls
Wrapping around a corner? Just add up the widths of all the walls and use the tallest height.
We’ll print it as one continuous mural.
Add 2 inches (5 cm) to the final width and height to allow for trimming.
For example: an accent mural that turns a corner in a nursery or playroom.
