How to Prep Your Wall

The secret to wallpaper that sticks perfectly is a clean, dry wall. Even if it looks clean, give it a quick wipe down with warm water and a microfiber cloth (no chemicals). Let it dry completely for 24 hours before you start.

🚨 The "Fresh Paint" Warning:

Did you just paint the room? You must wait 30 days for the paint to fully cure ("gas out") before applying wallpaper. If you stick it too soon, the bubbles from the paint will push the wallpaper off the wall!

Step-by-Step

How to Install Your Wallpaper

Peel & Stick
Prepasted

Step 1: The Plumb Line (Don't skip this!)

Walls are rarely straight. Measure the width of your panel minus 1 inch from the corner. Use a level to draw a straight vertical line. This is your guide!

Step 2: Peel & Stick the Top

Peel back the top 10 inches of backing. Stick it to the top of the wall, aligning the edge perfectly with your pencil line.

Step 3: The "Scroll" Method

Slowly pull the backing down while smoothing the paper against the wall with your included squeegee. Work from the center outwards to push out air.

Step 4: The Butt Joint (No Overlap)

For the next panel, line up the pattern at eye level. Push the edges together until they "kiss". Do not overlap the panels.

Step 5: Trim & Finish

Use your squeegee to press the paper into the baseboard, then use your sharp knife to trim the excess.

Step 1: Prep & Organize

Cut your panels apart. Mark a vertical "Plumb Line" on your wall using a level (see Step 1 in the Peel & Stick guide above).

Step 2: Activate the Glue

Lay the panel face down and spray the back evenly with water (or submerge in a water tray for 15 seconds).

Step 3: "Book" the Paper

Gently fold the pasted sides onto themselves (glue to glue) without creasing. Let it sit for 3-5 minutes to activate the adhesive.

Step 4: Slide & Match

Unfold the top half and stick it to the wall, aligning with your pencil line. Smooth it out with a damp sponge. Repeat for the bottom half.

Step 5: Wipe & Trim

Gently wipe off any excess glue on the front with a damp sponge. Trim the excess at the ceiling and floor with a sharp knife.

Common Questions & Quick Fixes

Ran into a snag? Don't panic! Most installation "hiccups" (like air bubbles or wrinkles) are completely normal and easy to fix.
